Philips Senior House Garden
West 133rd Street, Manhattan
GrowNYC partnered with Philips Senior House to design a community garden at a Mitchell-Lama development in Harlem. GrowNYC works with residents from April to December, organizing garden workshops, teaching cooking classes, and encouraging the senior residents to be active by working in the garden.
By the end of the year, the residents had produced a cookbook of recipes using healthy produce grown in their garden.
